Cadence's 'Business@School' is  a project, supported by Contour Housing Association, working with Oldham Primary School pupils at Limeside and Stanley Road Primary Schools to develop real businesses. 7-9 year olds do market research, financial projections and present their ideas in Contour's Salford Quays boardroom.

Cadence also worked with the charity Voluntary Action on their Refugees into Business project to develop and deliver some specialist courses and support for refugees in Oldham, Rochdale and Manchester.

Sophy was one of the key architects of Business Plus which is based in some of most deprived wards in Manchester. It is about supporting people to consider self-employment and is the result of a innovative partnership of four Housing Associations with properties in inner-city wards: Places for People; Mosscare; Tung Sing and Arawak Walton.
