If there is then it is most commonly accepted to be something that people who are consulted might suffer from ... although there are plenty of public servants who say they are tired of consulting. In 2000 the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (funders of our Hoodie, goodie, buddy project) said; 'Government regeneration strategies give increasing recognition to the importance of involving local people in the renewal and management of their own neighbourhoods. SHEFFIELD'S voluntary, faith and community organisations are to be asked what they want to see change to make their sector more effective.
Sheffield City Council is working in partnership with Voluntary Action Sheffield, the Open Forum for Economic Regeneration (OFFER), CLASSY - the consortium of local advice centres, Sheffield Black and Minority Ethnic Network and NHS Sheffield, to commission an independent review of the city's voluntary, community and faith sector.
