Friend of Cadence and Sheffield University Professor Danny Dorling has been prominent in the media this week following the release of a new Joseph Rowntree report on poverty. The full report can be found at www.jrf.org.uk , but an interesting take on how Danny sees these issues can be seen in his prize winning essay 'Inequalities in Britain 1997-2006: the dream that turned pear-shaped'.
This include an explanation of what 'pear-shaped' means which is a worth a look in it self ... work Cadence are doing with Danny's department on ASBOs and youth clubs will be available soon.
