Social Innovation - Creating the Conditions

5 Nov 2007 by Karl Hallam

The National School of Government have just published a report on Social Innovation, featuring 10 case studies, of which Cadence have written 3. The report coincided with a conference with keynote speakers Ed Miliband and Gus O'Donnell. Having a member of the Cabinet and the Head of the Civil Service speaking demonstrates that Social Innovation is clearly big in Goverment at the moment.

Cadence's case studies featured Positive Futures, the Phoenix Development Fund and Safe Routes to School. The full report can be emailed on request.

Cadence attended the conference as Innovators and lead table discussions on the learning from their case studies, as well as hearing how both local and central goverment are trying to be more innovative .... don't hold your breath.
